CITY OF CHAMPYINZ

Welcome to City of Champyinz, an oral history project about the impact of the increasingly  global nature of sports on youth sport in Pittsburgh over the last fifty years. Each video is a compilation of the interviews conducted which we have grouped together to highlight a particular pattern or theme. The slideshow to the left will introduce you to the speakers who will narrate changes to leagues, players, and the city itself.

 

This project was funded by the World History Center, and we would like to thank the leadership team, Dr. Ruth Mostern, Dr. Molly Warsh, and David Ruvolo, for their support and advice.
