ABOUT US

Alexandra Mountain and Cordelia Brazile are graduate students at the University of Pittsburgh in the department of history. This project was the result of Graduate Student Assistantships in Public History from the University of Pittsburgh's World History Center and a partnership with the Heinz History Center Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum. 

Alexandra is in the finishing stages of her dissertation on the professionalization and commodification of youth hockey in the United States, Canada, and Sweden from 1960-2010. Cordelia just completed her master's thesis on the changing role of education in youth soccer academies in the United States and England from 1960-2015.
